During his university days, Dr. M.S. Santhavardhan was the student union chairman. To a great extent he was influenced by Communism, which preached economic equality. Indeed he wanted to propagate that concept throughout India as a radial. But Jesus spoke to him through his inner spirit and called him for his ministry. Then Dr. Santhavardhan has accepted Lord Jesus Christ as his personal saviour in 1972 and committed his entire life to the Lord.

Even while working as a lecturer in political science in the century old famous, Andhra Christian College, Guntur, he did ministry of Jesus Christ. In 1977, because of the rupture of his appendix he was literally dying. But Lord Jesus spoke to him and healed him miraculously. From that time onwards Lord has endowed him with the gifts of the Holy Spirit and used him to win thousands of souls for Jesus Christ. In his gospel campaigns so far, hundreds and thousands of people are saved through this ministry. God has performed many miracles and healings in his campaigns. All glory to Jesus. The Lord is mightily using him in many ways even in India and abroad.

He is blessed with a wife and 6 children (4 boys and 2 girls). His wife Mrs. Nirmala Santhavardhan takes care of the orphanages and the other institutional matters. The eldest daughter Hannah Prasanthi is presently with the Lord in heaven. The eldest son Shali is the Coordinator for the Television Ministry. Dr. Santhavardhan's daughter Merlyn Mamatha Vardhan is in U.S.A. now. She is in-charge of the organisation’s, inter-national relations. Another son Jakie is the Music Director of the Good News Messengers music ministries and the Director of the organisation’s audio studio. He is a gifted musician and an excellent keyboard player. Johny and Suneeth, the two younger sons of Dr. Santhavardhan help their parents in 10 types of ministries apart from pursuing their studies. Pastors T. Vijaya Babu and G. Nirmal Kumar assist Dr. M.S. Santhavardhan in running the main ‘EL-SHAADAI’ church at the HQS, Guntur.

International Evangelist

So far Dr. Santhavardhan has visited more than 30 countries and various states in India and gave the GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST and baptised more than 3000 people into Christ. For the past 20 years God has been using him in a mighty manner for his glory.

A Powerful Preacher and a Bible Teacher

Dr. Santhavardhan is a powerful Speaker and a Bible Teacher. As a result of his preaching in the meetings, thousands of people have accepted Lord Jesus Christ as their personal saviour publicly. Several people are miraculously healed when he prayed for the sick people. He is a good Bible Teacher and gave teachings to thousands of people and specially trained-up young men and women for soul winning. He worked as honorary dean for the ‘Berea Bible School’ for some time. The power of God and the glory of God are seen in the Good News Campaigns conducted by him.

A Composer, Musician and a Writer

He has composed nearly 300 hymns and worship songs in Telugu language. Many of these songs are released in 20 audiotapes.

He is also a songster and a musician. He has written more than 13 books on various topics like divine healing, miracles, Christian giving and stewardship, effective prayer, Holy Spirit, Satan and his devices etc. He is a novelist, short-story writer and a poet. Lord Jesus has endowed him with various gifts and using him mightily for his glory.

Translator and Interpreter

He has also translated several popular books from English to Telugu language. He was invited to interpret the messages of International evangelist like T.L. Osborn, Pat Robertson, Dick Burnel, Peter Youngren, Morris Cerull, Roger Houtsma, Dr. D.G.S. Dinakaran, etc.

Chief Editor of the Magazine

He was the Chief Editor of ‘Aaradhana’ (‘Worship’ Magazine) for a period of 15 years. He is a free-lance journalist and an authentic writer. Presently he is the Chief Adviser of the ‘ASCHARYAKARUDAINA YESU’ (WONDERFUL JESUS) magazine in Telugu language.

He has organised huge meetings for ‘Jesus Calls’, ‘Jesus Heals’ and other organisations. On the last day of the Jesus Calls campaign at Guntur for which he was the Convener, nearly half a million people attended. He has also conducted a convention for Pastor Dick Burnel and organised several Pastors’ conferences. He has thrice organised conferences for more than 1000 Pastors for ‘World Map’, ‘Christian Dynamics’ and other international organisations.
